Your data, explained clearly

Privacy Policy

ApplyAgents helps you complete job applications while keeping you in control. This policy explains what our Chrome extension and website handle, why, and the choices you have.

Effective August 1, 2026caspercoachmarketing@gmail.com

You start the action

ApplyAgents reads and fills a job page when you use its autofill, scan, Continue, or AI features. It does not sell your browsing activity.

You submit

The extension does not submit job applications. You review the completed form and decide whether to send it to the employer.

No data sales

We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or provide it to data brokers.

Plain-language note: “ApplyAgents,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer of the ApplyAgents website and Chrome extension. “Service” means both products and their related support. This policy is written to describe the Service as it operates on the effective date above.
01

Scope

This policy applies when you use the ApplyAgents website, create or manage an ApplyAgents account, use the ApplyAgents Chrome extension, contact support, or use related features such as profile sync, document storage, resume parsing, and AI-assisted form completion.

It does not govern an employer, job board, applicant tracking system (“ATS”), or any other website where you choose to apply. Those services receive information under their own terms and privacy policies when you interact with or submit a form to them.

02

Information we handle

We handle the following categories, depending on which features you choose to use:

  • Account and contact information. Your name, email address, account identifier, and authentication/session information. Our authentication provider handles sign-in credentials; ApplyAgents is not designed to store job-site passwords in your profile.
  • Job-search profile information. Contact details, address, professional links, education, employment history, skills, certifications, projects, work authorization, sponsorship and relocation preferences, desired role or salary, availability, and answers you save for application questions.
  • Optional sensitive information. If you choose to provide it, demographic or equal-employment-opportunity information such as gender, race or ethnicity, veteran status, and disability-related responses. These fields are optional and are used only to help complete forms at your direction.
  • Documents and document content.Resumes, cover letters, transcripts, filenames, file type and size, extracted text, and text derived from those documents. Document uploads are limited by the product's supported file types and size limits.
  • Current-page and form context.When you invoke a relevant extension feature, ApplyAgents may read the active job page's URL, ATS platform, field labels, field options, nearby instructions, job description, and other page content needed to identify and complete the form. We do not collect unrelated general browsing history for advertising or profiling.
  • Application and usage records. The company name, job title, job URL, ATS platform, autofill-session status and timestamp, plan or quota information, feature-use counts, and AI request/token counts. We use this to provide usage history, enforce limits, maintain reliability, and control abuse.
  • AI inputs and outputs. When you choose an AI feature, the request may include profile facts, resume content, job descriptions, application questions, relevant page context, and prior chat context, along with the generated answer or analysis.
  • Technical and support information. Standard server and security logs may include an IP address, browser or device details, request time, requested route, and error information. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message.
  • Public-site analytics. On the public homepage and privacy page, Vercel Web Analytics receives anonymous page-view information such as the page path, referrer, timestamp, approximate country or region, browser, operating system, and device type. ApplyAgents removes query strings and does not send dashboard, onboarding, sign-in, or sign-up page views to analytics. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and uses a daily-reset hash to count visitors without tracking them across different websites or days.

Please do not place passwords, government identification numbers, banking details, or other information that is not necessary for a job application into free-text profile or AI fields.

The website uses cookies and similar local technologies that are necessary for sign-in, session security, and preferences. ApplyAgents does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or ad trackers. Vercel Web Analytics operates without analytics cookies.

03

What stays local and what uses the cloud

On your device

The extension uses Chrome local storage for settings and may cache your signed-in profile, approved answers, entitlement status, and active documents so autofill can work quickly. A user-supplied AI API key, when that option is available, stays in extension storage and is not synced to ApplyAgents.

ApplyAgents cloud services

If you create an account, ApplyAgents stores your profile, approved answer bank, onboarding state, documents, entitlements, fill-session records, and limited AI usage records so the website and extension can work together across supported sessions and devices.

The extension inserts your chosen information into the form displayed in your browser. ApplyAgents does not click the final Submit button. The employer or ATS receives the form information only as a result of your interaction with that website, including when you choose to submit it.

04

Why the extension requests permissions

Chrome displays permissions because the extension needs browser capabilities to perform its single purpose: assisting you with job-application forms.

PermissionHow it is used
storage / unlimitedStorage

Save your profile settings, extension preferences, cached documents, and answer data locally.

activeTab / scripting

Inspect and fill the job-application page you are actively using after you invoke an ApplyAgents feature.

Host access

Work on supported job and ATS websites and communicate with the ApplyAgents, authentication, and optional AI services required for requested features.

cookies

Support the ApplyAgents sign-in session through our authentication provider. It is not used to read unrelated websites' cookies for tracking or advertising.

ApplyAgents does not use these permissions to monitor unrelated browsing, build advertising profiles, or bypass CAPTCHAs, logins, or browser security controls.

05

How we use information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • create and secure your account and keep your website and extension sessions connected;
  • store, sync, display, and update your profile and documents;
  • recognize job-application fields and fill them using information you provided or approved;
  • provide AI-assisted answers, resume parsing, application autofill, and related features you request;
  • show your application activity and enforce plan or usage limits;
  • measure aggregated traffic to our public website and understand which public pages and referral sources are useful;
  • operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Service's job-application assistance features;
  • respond to support, privacy, and legal requests; and
  • comply with law and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Service.

We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for targeted advertising, provide it to data brokers, or use browsing activity for an unrelated purpose. We do not use your data to decide whether you should be hired, and we do not use it to train our own general-purpose AI model.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use commitment

ApplyAgents' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information obtained through extension permissions is used only to provide or improve ApplyAgents' disclosed job-application assistance purpose, maintain security and reliability, comply with law, or protect against abuse.

When we share information

We disclose information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use vendors that help operate the Service, including Clerk for authentication, Neon for database infrastructure, OpenAI for requested AI features, Vercel for website hosting and anonymous public-site analytics, and storage, security, and email providers. They receive only the information reasonably necessary for their role and process it under their own terms and our instructions where applicable. Depending on the extension version and setting, an optional user-keyed AI request may be sent directly to OpenAI.
  • Employers, job boards, and ATS providers at your direction.The extension places information into the job form you opened. Your decision to interact with or submit that form discloses information to that site's operator under its own privacy practices.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with valid legal process, enforce our rights, or protect users, the public, or the Service from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
  • Business change. If ownership of the Service changes through a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, user data will be transferred only as permitted by applicable law and, where the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy requires it, after obtaining explicit prior consent.
  • With your direction or consent. We may share information when you specifically ask us to or consent to the disclosure.

Relevant provider information is available from Clerk, Neon, OpenAI, and Vercel Web Analytics.

07

Retention and deletion

Local extension data

Remains on your device until you clear it through available product/browser controls, sign out where the feature clears account caches, reset the extension, or remove the extension, subject to Chrome's storage behavior.

Account and service data

Profile data, documents, answer data, entitlements, and application/usage records are generally kept while your account is active so we can provide the Service. We delete or de-identify them after a verified account-deletion request is completed, except for limited information we must keep for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

AI and operational data

ApplyAgents does not intentionally retain transient AI request content after processing unless the output is saved to your profile or needed temporarily to diagnose a problem. AI, hosting, and security providers may retain limited data under their applicable service terms. Routine logs and backup copies expire or are overwritten on provider and operational schedules.

To request account and cloud-data deletion, email caspercoachmarketing@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We may ask you to verify the request before acting. Deleting cloud data does not withdraw an application you already submitted to an employer; contact that employer or ATS separately.

Uninstalling the extension removes or makes inaccessible its local data according to Chrome's storage behavior, but it does not by itself delete an ApplyAgents account or cloud data. Use the contact process above for cloud deletion.

Vercel's visitor-counting hash expires after 24 hours. Aggregated public-site traffic statistics may remain available under our Vercel account and Vercel's applicable retention practices.

08

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, export, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You can also:

  • review and edit profile information through the website or extension;
  • leave optional demographic and other non-required profile fields blank;
  • choose whether to invoke autofill, Continue, resume parsing, or AI features;
  • disable optional AI features or remove a user-supplied AI key;
  • clear local extension data, sign out, or uninstall the extension; and
  • request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting us.

We will respond in accordance with applicable law and may need to verify your identity. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

09

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network transport, authenticated access, owner-scoped records, restricted extension storage contexts where supported, and filtering intended to keep passwords and raw file data out of profile sync payloads. Authentication tokens are not exposed to ordinary page content.

No system is completely secure. Protect your account and device, use a unique password, keep Chrome and the extension current, and contact us if you believe your information or account may have been compromised.

10

Children's privacy

ApplyAgents is intended for people managing their own job search and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

11

International processing

ApplyAgents and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border processing and handle requests under applicable law.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Service, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how the extension handles user data, we will provide any additional notice or consent required by applicable law or Chrome Web Store policy before the new practice applies.
